NAI Partners Presents The Big Game and Houston Commercial Real Estate Facts 2017

Since Houston last hosted the Big Game in 2004, the average asking rent for office space is up more than $3.50 per sq. ft; full-year 2016 absorption for industrial space is nearly three times as high; and the office vacancy rate is identical.

Other Big Game fun facts include:

  • $350 million net economic impact in dollars the Big Game will have on Houston
  • 23 miles of light rail connecting NRG Stadium to Downtown and other areas of Houston
  • 1.33 billion chicken wings are expected to be consumed, or 17.7 million wings per floor of the 75-story-tall JPMorgan Chase Tower, Houston's tallest building
  • 12.5 million pizzas will be eaten, or roughly 7 for every square foot of Wells Fargo Plaza, Houston's second-tallest building
  • 50 million cases of beer will be sold in the two weeks leading up to the Big Game, which, if stacked on top of each other, would be the height of 22,312 Williams Towers, Houston's third-tallest building
