Ryan Bohls is Managing Director of NAI Partners’ Austin office, focused on Office Tenant Representation.
Ryan was previously Managing Director for Newmark Knight Frank’s Austin office, where he specialized in strategic counseling and corporate real estate advisory services for users, with a specific focus on representing clients in acquisitions, dispositions, transaction management, lease administration and investment in facilities.
During the course of his career, Ryan has been involved in more than 200 real estate transactions totaling more than 3.3 million square feet and a transaction value in excess of $270 million.
Ryan has been designated a “Heavy Hitter” seven times, twice in the top ten, was named one of Austin’s five Power Brokers by CoStar, as well as a “rising star” by Connect Media. He spent six years at JLL, formerly The Staubach Company, where he was recognized as top achiever four consecutive years for gross revenue production.
Ryan’s transaction credentials include representing Amazon in their original acquisition in Central Texas as well as launching Under Armour’s digital headquarters in downtown’s vibrant Seaholm project. Other noteworthy transactions include Exxon’s investment sale of a 150-acre site, Lifesize Communications’ 100,000 square foot headquarters and Legalzoom’s purchase of a 97,000 square foot facility.
A fifth generation native Austinite, Bohls’ community activity includes founding the Austin Young Chamber, now the largest member organization in Central Texas. A parishioner at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Ryan previously served on the board of directors for the Young Men’s Business League, the organizational committee for Austin Under 40, the chairman’s circle for Mav PAC and the family selection committee for Habitat for Humanity.
Ryan’s previous work experience includes political consulting. He was a precinct chair for the Republican Party for four years in addition to being named one of the top 30 political consultants in the State of Texas by Capitol Insider during the 2006 election cycle.
Ryan’s Central Texas’ ancestry goes back almost 200 years. His family were the original settlers of the area surrounding Bee Cave, Texas, as well as the current township of Pflugerville which are well chronicled in several State of Texas historical markers. His father, Kirk Bohls, is the lead columnist for the Austin American Statesman where he’s been a sportswriter for the last 50 years. Ryan’s family still resides in the Austin area and he is a parishioner at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
