Gary Brown, MAI, is Partner and Managing Director of Partners Valuation Advisory line of business. In his role Gary oversees the company’s real estate appraisal and advisory services, including appraisal review, property tax consulting, feasibility and market studies, due diligence, capital market research and analysis, and other valuation consulting services.
Partners Valuation Advisory business is seamlessly integrated into our company’s suite of solutions and leverages the depth of our full-service platform to exceed industry standards.
Prior to Partners Valuation, Gary worked at Altus Group, where his responsibilities included valuation management consulting and portfolio management which required benchmarking and performance attribution, property valuation of institutional grade assets, and other valuation services for all major property types across the nation.
Gary also spent time at Ocwen Financial Corporation as a Commercial Valuation Specialist providing valuation services on more than 6,000 commercial loans located throughout the country. Gary’s strong understanding of real estate valuation is rooted in his years spent as an Associate Appraiser at Gary Brown & Associates, where he produced commercial appraisal reports on office, retail, industrial, and multi-family properties, as well as vacant land and developments, and ground lease and going concern analysis.
Gary graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a focus in Real Estate. In addition to leading Partners Valuation, he is a Designated Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI), has a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license in Texas and Missouri, and is a licensed Texas Real Estate Salesperson. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs, reading about sports and economics, and traveling.

Provided significant management assistance for the quarterly appraisal management and review process of an institutional core fund comprised of $17B in commercial property. Assets include Office, Retail, Industrial, Multifamily, Self Storage, and Medical Office properties across the United States.
Managed the quarterly valuation process through developing appraisal reports for part of a life insurance company’s core global real estate fund. The engagement comprised of $700M with the majority being hospitality assets.
Valued the multifamily assets within a pension fund’s real estate portfolio consisting of properties across the United States and totaling $630M.
Briefly managed the quarterly appraisal management process for an industrial property fund comprised of 400+ assets located across the United States.
